The competition was initially won by Gunjur and Tanji in the first and second edition after its rebirth under the dynamic leadership of Bakary Bojang.
Twenty-five (25) affiliated communities are expected to battle for this year's mega crown.

The balloting for this year's Approves Service (APS) sponsored Kombo South District Football competition is set for tomorrow, Saturday, 20 April 2024 at the Sports House in Sanyang.
In line with the above mentioned dates for balloting and commencement of the tournament, all affiliated communities are expected to make payments of their registration fees through APS account number: 001021010100006607001 at any nearest APS branch across the country.
Affiliated communities are also reminded to open an APS wallet/account on or before the commencement of this year's Kombo South District football competition.
